Last 5 years were incredible period for Gudauri Ski Resort and it's development, practically ski resort was rebuilt and even now it keeps growing with variety of infrastructure and numerous hotels, homes, hostels or guesthouses were built.

With official statistics Gudauri was visited by about 345 900 turists in 2017-2018 winter season which was 25% more then in 2016-2017. In the new season 2018-2019 which will start on approximately 10th December we are waiting for more then 450 000 tourists and this is the main reason that you have to plan earlier hotel and accommodation bookings if you want to find a nice place cheap.

If the skiing is not that important for you and would like to have an amazing time in snow, then we can recommend to stay at night in Kazbegi / Stepantsminda which is maybe one of the most beautiful places in the whole Georgia. Even we personally would recommend to visit at least once Kazbegi and especially Gergeti holy trinity church on the pick of the mountain Gergeti if you will stay in Gudauri.
